Games Day!

Today was Games Day!  Unfortunately it was pouring rain all day, but luckily we were able to have an inside Games Day by moving the stations into various classrooms around the school.  Some of the stations included the limbo, kangaroo hop, ring toss, beach volleyball, and the parachute.  What was your favourite station?

Our Field Trip to Crescent Beach

Today we had our field trip to Crescent Beach.  And it was "the best field trip ever." - Abby
Last week and even yesterday we were a bit nervous as the weather forecast called for rain.  But, it turned out to be a fantastic day.  We had beautiful blue sky and a slight breeze by the water.  The tide was out, but starting to come in, so we were able to explore some of the tidal pools and lift rocks to find crabs.

We couldn't ask for better!

As you may know we share our gym time with Ms. Lirenman's grade one class.  Ms. Lirenman and Mrs. Morrison decided that buddying up was a good idea because that meant we would get double the gym time in a week.  This week they decided we would head outside and use the scoops and wiffle balls.   When we got to the gym Ms. Lirenman and Mrs. Morrison realized there were not enough scoops for every student, so quick thinkers that they are they came up with a great plan.  The 10 people that did not get scoops would get a hula hoop.  Making groups with 1 hula hoop and 3 scoops, the object of the game was to pass the ball while one person hulaed,  and when someone did not catch the ball they would switch places with the hula hooper.   Everyone had so much fun.  Here are some photos.
