Cover Your Coughs and Sneezes!

We've been talking about healthy living and preventing the spread of germs.  We made crafts to help us to remember to cover our coughs and sneezes.

Hugs or Kisses?

On Valentines Day our buddies help us to make these giant Hershey's Hugs and Kisses.  We then wrote about why we like getting hugs and kisses from our family.

FRIENDS!

Today we talked about all the things that friends like to do, friends are & friends can... 

Friends like to play together. Friends like to make Valentines. Friends like to have a play date with you.  Friends like YOU!  Friends are kind. Friends are nice. Friends are respectful. Friends are happy.  Friends can skip together. Friends can help you.  Friends can play together.

Bonaccord Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics officially begin tomorrow in Sochi, Russia.  Today we held our own Opening Ceremonies and Olympics.  Each class at our school was a assigned a country from the 22 top medal winning countries from the 2010 Olympics.  This morning each class paraded to the gym with our countries' flags and marched around, before being seated.  We had a mini torch relay and lighting of the cauldron.  Then it was time for the events to begin.  We participated in 6 events; Olympic Bingo, Biathlon, Skiing, Hockey, Curling and Bob-sleighing.  Mrs. Morrison was running the curling station so she didn't get many photos.  But it was a great day!

More Penguins!

Our big buddies helped us to make these adorable plasticine penguins on Wednesday.

We were also working hard to complete our penguin reports this week.  We worked independently to create these.
