Today was Groundhog Day (you probably already knew that)! We had lots of fun groundhog things to do today. We read a book called Groundhog Weather School. The book is very cute as it shows that it is very hard to predict the weather.
We wrote about groundhogs in our journals. Mrs. Morrison was very proud of the work we did and wishes she took some pictures of the journals so she could show you all!!! After recess we worked on a groundhog dot-to-dot.We all got our very own mini groundhog day book to take home and read. After lunch we got to make groundhog puppets. We used our puppets to help us read the groundhog poem we've been practicing all week.
Here's a little groundhog, furry and brown,
He's popping up to look around,
If he see's his shadow down he'll go,
Then six more weeks of winter, oh no!
Happy Groundhog Day!

Happy Ground Hog Day Mrs. Morrison's Class. Yesterday we watched a movie that had Punxsutawney Phil the ground hog in it. He saw his shadow so that means there will be six more weeks of winter. From Division 16, across the hall.
